As a UK-based taxi company, we are committed to upholding the laws and regulations pertaining to health, safety, and the prohibition of drug and alcohol consumption while operating or riding in our vehicles. This policy outlines the guidelines and expectations regarding the use of mobile devices, as well as the prohibition of drugs and alcohol for all individuals associated with Action Cars Taxis.
2. Health & Safety Guidelines for Drivers and Passengers:
- Drivers must adhere to all traffic laws and regulations at all times.
- Passengers are required to wear seatbelts while inside the vehicle.
- Drivers and passengers are encouraged to report any unsafe conditions or behaviors to Action Cars Taxis management.
3. Mobile Device Usage Policy:
Drivers:
- The use of mobile devices while driving is strictly prohibited, except in the case of hands-free devices for communication purposes.
- Drivers must safely pull over to the side of the road or in a designated area before using a mobile device for any non-urgent matters.
- Texting, browsing the internet, or engaging in any other distracting activities on a mobile device while driving is prohibited.
- Passengers:
- Passengers are allowed to use their mobile devices during the ride, but they must do so responsibly, avoiding behavior that may distract the driver or jeopardize the safety of the journey.
- The driver has the right to request passengers to refrain from using their mobile devices if it poses a safety risk.
4. Drug and Alcohol Policy:
- Drivers:
- Drivers are strictly prohibited from operating a vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol as per the laws of the UK.
- Random drug and alcohol testing may be conducted by Action Cars Taxis management to ensure compliance with this policy.
- Any driver found to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol will face immediate termination and legal consequences.
- Passengers:
- Passengers are prohibited from consuming drugs or alcohol inside the vehicle.
- Any passenger found to be in possession of or consuming drugs or alcohol may be refused service and reported to the authorities.
5. Enforcement:
- Non-compliance with this policy may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment for drivers or refusal of service for passengers.
- Action Cars Taxis management reserves the right to amend or update this policy as necessary to ensure the continued safety of all individuals involved.
